SAP®-BAPI® Interface
SAP®-BAPI® Interface
Especially in the German region is
a connection to the business planning software of SAP often an important
requirement in order to reach an integration of the IT-scenery. ArchiFM has a
direct ("native") interface to the SAP R/3®-Modules in the
Client/Server-Version. The ArchiFM Connection Service supports the connection
to SAP-Module FI/CO (Financial and Controlling). Following data are transmitted:
-
Company data
-
Cost centers
-
Statistic characteristic values
-
Invoice data
- Further interfaces to the modules HR (Human Resources), AM
(Asset Management), PM (Plant Maintenance) MM (Material Management) and RE
(Real Estate). It is natural of an SAP-Implementation that individual
adjustments have to be carried out depending on the actual SAP-environment
of the enterprise.
The architecture of the interface
The SAP BAPI (Business Application
Programming Interface) was developed together with an SAP Service Provider. The
following BAPI Extensions are valid presently for SAP R/3 Version 4.0 and 4.6.
The ArchiFM SAP Connection Service calls the single/individual BAPI-Functions
and gathers data from SAP R/3 or writes them back. Additionally it reads and
writes data into ArchiFM-DataBase, the Microsoft SQL-Server. The access from
ArchiFM to SAP R/3-Data is carried out through the ArchiFM Connection Server.
First steps
VintoCON is aware that your
company’s SAP-Application is a "mission-critical" software. Therefore
some basic/essential prerequisites are necessary at first contact. Important:
the BAPI Extensions are presently available for SAP R/3 Version 4.0 and 4.6.
You need Microsoft Windows 2000 as system environment and MS SQL Server 7.0 or
Oracle 8i as database server.
In a joint Workshop vintoCON ArchiFM Solution Partner and your SAP Service
Partner will prepare an integration-concept and a project-plan together with
you.
